Swype and Nokia introduced Swype Beta for Symbian today.

Swype is known from devices running on Windows Mobile or Android. with Swype you can type your text faster than to give in text on any on-screen-keyboard.

Nokia released a new major firmware for Nokia C5-00 (RM 645).

current version now: V32.010

 

the new firmware should be available in a few days via NSU or OTA.  

A while ago, i mentioned that the new SportTracker site was realeased, but there were a few features missing. Now, Sports Tracker has been officially launched :-)

at the first look, it has a strange form factor, but you can say that this device is a slider phone.

Sony Ericsson released a new version of their Themes Creator - Supporting Symbian phones, too.

"The Themes Creator is a personal computer based application that allows users to personalise the “look and feel” of the Sony Ericsson mobile phones. The application allows you to create new themes, edit an existing theme and save a theme.

This application helps you to create/compose themes which are compatible with Sony Ericsson mobile phones. It's not a graphic editing tool, but more of a “composer”, that is, it enables you to create a theme based on existing components (sound files, image files). It also allows you to change display colours for menu text, clock display."
