A few days ago MeeGo released their version for handsets: MeeGo 1.1 and Chippy from carrypad was already able to get his hands on a Intel Moorestown Phone from Aava running the new MeeGo 1.1 OS.

chippy was able to run some tests with it, like the SunSpider test (a JavaScript benchmark), which is quite impressive. this is even faster than iOS4 and Android 2.2. just to keep in mind: that's only a prototype and needs some improvements.

as you can see in the video there are a lot of bugs and glitches. this is the MeeGo UI, which won't look like on the new Nokia phone based on MeeGo. Nokia claimed to show you much more user friendly UI...   we'll see :-)
