OK folks, get ready to be flashed to PR 1.2

here is a little description howto flash your N900 with the new Firmware:

You flash on your own Risk. Don't blame me when you brick your phone :-)

 Step 0:

Do a Backup first!!

Step 1:

Goto

http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-dev-env-downloads.php,

download the Maemo Flasher 3.5 and install it.

Normally it will be installed to C:\Program Files\maemo\

Step 2:

Goto http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php Enter your IMEI in the field “Enter product id:” and click Send. Accept the End User Software Agreement

Step 3:

Download the file ‘RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin’ which is the Global release for Nokia N900 or one of these for your region:

• USA:
• RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin
•  
• Middle East and North Africa:
• RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1.003_PR_COMBINED_003_ARM.bin
•  
• India:
• RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1.004_PR_COMBINED_004_ARM.bin
•  
• Global: 
• RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin

copy the downloaded image to te flasher folder:

C:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5

Step 4:

Power off your N900

Step 5:

Hold the ‘U’ key on your N900 and connect the USB cable.

The Nokia logo should appear on your screen with an icon in the top right corner to show you are connected to USB.

Step 6:

Launch Maemo Flasher 3.5. open CMD as Admin and go to the right folder: C:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5

Step 7:

Start flashing with this command

(IMPORTANT NOTE: This command is case-sensitive):

“flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R”

wait

when you get this message:

Finishing flashing... done

CMT flashed successfully

then you're done.

But remember to Backup first!! :-)
